Parents please affirm the following parental Confirmation covenant commitments for your teen to be a part of the Confirmation Class during the 2025-2026 school year.

Weekly Class Attendance

I agree to make sure my teen regularly attends Confirmation Classes on Wednesday evenings. If my teen is absent due to sickness, etc. I will follow up to see if there is any class work that needs to be completed.

Sunday Worship Requirement

Teens in Confirmation will attend Sunday worship service at least once a month. If my teen is unable to attend Sunday worship at least once a certain month, the teen will either provide the Pastor with a worship bulletin as proof of attendance else where or we agree that my teen will attend worship at least twice the following month.

Lenten/Holy Week Requirements

Teens in the Confirmation Class will attend the Ash Wednesday Worship Service on February 18, 2026 at 7:00 pm Teens in the Confirmation Class will attend the Passover Feast/Maundy Thursday Service on April 2, 2026 starting at 6:00 pm Teens in Confirmation Class will take part in the Good Friday Drama (either onstage or back stage) on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 8:00 pm If my teen is unable to attend/take part in the Maundy Thursday services and the Good Friday Drama, I agree to provide a written, dated, and signed If my teen is unable to attend/take part in the Maundy Thursday services and the Good Friday Drama, I also agree to schedule a meeting with the Pastor to determine an alternate activity to be performed by the teen at church.

Rite of Confirmation

Teens in Confirmation will take part in 2 years of Confirmation instruction. Teens completing the 2nd year of Confirmation will celebrate the Rite of Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday, May 25, 2026 taking part in both Confirmation Jeopardy at 9:00 am and Worship at 10:15 am.

Offering

To help establish the habit of stewardship, during the 2 years of Confirmation, I will see to it that my teen brings at least $1.00 weekly as a mission offering for the Orphanage ministry in Ukraine. A monthly lump sum may also be brought in.
